At Ripples, we don't make claims we can't prove and you are welcome to inspect our fleet so you can see the differences for yourself. These include

• No hidden charges (cleaning, gas, environmental levies) - all you pay is the running cost ($25 per motoring hour for the Resort, and $15 per motoring hour for the islander) and an on board clock allows you to keep track of this while on board so there are no surprises at the end of your hire. All accounts are settled at the marina on your return

• Your bond is returned to you immediately at the completion of your hire (unless our conditions of hire have been breached)

• Ripples Resort (10 berth) houseboats have electric anchor winches, making anchoring easy. Also the anchor chain does not run across the front deck, which means more useable space and greater safety

• Ripples Islander houseboats are the largest 4 berth boat (35') on the Hawkesbury River providing more room for you to relax both inside and out

• Ripples houseboats have larger stainless steel barbecues than other houseboat companies, and the biminis (sun canopies) on Ripples houseboats are bigger, providing more shade.

• Ripples houseboats do not use marine toilets but have normal flush toilets, which are more comfortable and less likely to become blocked

• All houseboats are powered by 25 hp 4 stroke outboard motors (1 on the Islander, 2 on the Resort) which are quiet and smokeless and give you more control and confidence

• Our friendly, courteous staff are knowledgeable and responsive to ensure you have a relaxing, trouble-free holiday

• Four free fishing licences are included with every hire

• For your safety and security we have GPS tracking on all our boats.

• Ripples have a continual refurbishment programme that ensures our houseboats are comfortable and appealing

• All Ripples houseboats are fitted with effluent holding tanks which are emptied after every hire. There is no additional charge for this.

• We have staff living on the river who are able to respond after hours if necessary

• Our exclusive 15 minute instructional DVD briefing provides detailed information on driving the houseboat, navigation and safety. First time hirers find this particularly helpful. This is backed up by a thorough on-board briefing, where we can answer any questions you may have.
